The Bridge Plate | Purpose and Material Selection

In this episode of DIY Guitar Making, I am discussing the role of the bridge plate in anchoring the string and in distributing the forces of the bridge. I also discuss the best material and grain orientation for the bridge plate. And finally, I demonstrate the process of making a template and cutting out bridge plates for my new Parlor model.
